Annette - I have psoriatic arthritis, so believe me, I understand your comment about not being able to roll out of bed in the morning. There is only one thing you can do...change your diet. Everything else is B.S., believe me, I've tried it. At one point I was taking 4 Advil 3 times per day, just to function. The pain was so bad and I'm only 39.

So, here's what I did. I reduced my animal product consumption (meat, dairy, etc.) to less than 5% of my diet. I cut out all beverages other than water. I'll have an occasional beer or soda, but rarely. I bought a Vitamix and drink 50-70 oz of fruit/veggie smoothies each day and I exercise moderately.

I am absolutely pain free, now. I'm very aware of pain/inflammation returning now that I can tell within a day if I've eaten something wrong.

So, I guarantee if you adjust your diet to fruits, vegetables, whole grains, starches, etc, you can be pain free. Ignore what most doctors tell you. My rhumatologist refuses to believe my diet had anything to do with my feeling better. So, I dumped him and haven't looked back. You can feel better.

Did you ever find out what it is. I was diagnosed with something similar but maybe the same thing - spondylarthritis they called it. I suffer from inflammation all the time and still have no idea what triggers it. Air conditioning, change in Temperature, My Diet - I have no idea. I have also been diagnosed with psioratic arthritis but I think is more down to the water here. Aloe Vera sorts out my skin problems. The only thing besides devils claw that helps me is oregano. I simply make it as a tea and the pain stops. Nobody seems to understand that some days it is so bad actually rolling out of bed is extremely painful. I also had problem with liver enzymes being too high but I fooled the doctors - stuck to gluten free diet and amazingly they came back to normal. Otherwise they thought I was an alcoholic - I really do not drink enough or can I afford enough to be an alcoholic.

I would just like to share that for years I had acid reflux my tummy would be tender to the touch, I was given tablets of all kinds and they helped very little after years of missery and countless visits to doctors found the simple cure.

1) If your tummy is niggly and tender : burn a piece of bread untill black charcoal and eat this you will feel better in two hours.
2) Start increasing the ammount of water you drink.
3) Eat only green leafy salads for a day or so.

The above works every time and I no longer have problems with tummy pain.

Hope this helps someone out there.

Hi There Wethechange,
On a similar note,, If a person believes the most recent research telling us that inflammation is a major contributing factor in such serious diseases as heart attack, stroke, certain types of cancer then they are likely to be interesting in finding ways to reduce its negative impact on health. So why don't we walk through 7 common sense ideas that just might help in avoiding becoming another health statistic and with a little luck might even slow the aging process a bit.
I look forward to your next post
