A few weeks ago I ran into an old friend that I have not seen in years. He has a terrific job at a large media company where he is highly respected and well paid. He has a very pretty wife, two healthy children, and a second home being built near the beach.

He has money, health, security, family, etc…but all he wanted to talk about was his frequent trips to Las Vegas where he does…well, lets just say he does seem pretty terrible things which really should “stay in Vegas”.

It was apparent that all his external success is not translating to internal fulfillment. He has done everything perfectly right according to societal standards, yet can not seem to find real satisfaction in his life. He goes to Vegas for what he calls a “release”; although I would more accurately call it an “escape”.

Internal Purpose vs. External Purpose

Isn’t the scenario above pretty common nowadays, and how many people do you know that fit this bill? My buddy is making the same error that way too many people are making, and that is searching for fulfillment on the outside first and then expecting it to transpire on the inside second.

My friends, it just does not work this way. No matter how much external possessions and material you have, it will never translate to inner happiness.

You must first make the commitment to be happy internally. To do this you must garner a genuine understanding of who you really are. Although this can be hard work, and is certainly a different path then what most people follow in our society, it is the only way you can attain true happiness:

“Finding and living in alignment with the inner purpose is the foundation for fulfilling your outer purpose. It is the basis for true success. Without that alignment, you can still achieve certain things through effort, struggle, determination and sheer hard work or cunning. But there is no joy in such an endeavor, and it invariably ends in some form of suffering”.

- Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth

Therefore we must put aside societal pressures and search for our life’s purpose internally. Once we get a sense of it, our external purpose flows as an extension. This is the essence of effective spiritual development.

Seeking Internal Purpose Leads To…

When you start becoming aware of your inner purpose, it is incredible what happens. Many of the shackles of modern-day culture suddenly disappear, and you feel free and light. People around may even tell you that you are “glowing”.

This happens because you learn to let go of all the ridiculous expectations others have of you, and also rid your mind of self-deprecating thoughts. Ask yourself: how much more powerful of a person would you be if you freed yourself of all the societal constructs that keep you in place?

How do you think my friend above would answer this question? This is not to say that you can not have kids, a wife, and a stable career. On the contrary, when you search for and find internal purpose first the things you want to happen externally become a reality anyway.

But when you do it the right way, the external results are a physical manifestation of the internal intelligence…and this makes all the difference.

Here are 5 important steps for manifesting internal purpose:

1. Ask yourself the question “what do I really want in life”?

Most people are too afraid to ask themselves this question, and I find this totally insane! To me it is perhaps the most important one to ask in all of life, and is the first step to locating your true purpose.

2. Make a practice of sitting in silence

The reason why most people are not in touch with their true purpose is that they either don’t know it exists OR they don’t know how to listen. Sitting in silence is an excellent way to have your truest purpose manifest. Every day spend at least 20 minutes in stillness and get in touch with your intuition.

3. Become a seeker of people and information

There are so many individuals out there who are experiencing higher levels of consciousness and so many books that talk about uncovering truer meaning in life, that you are doing yourself a disservice by not finding them and learning from them.

4. Create outlets where you monitor your progress

One of the main reasons I started this blog was so I could have an outlet for my spiritual development and quest for true purpose in life. You don’t have to start a blog and be as public about it as I, but what about writing in a journal? Perhaps writing a letter or series of letters to old teachers might help. Be creative about finding your inherent voice!

5. Be OK with the initial struggle

As you first start down this path, your practicality (ego) may resist your internal purpose. That is OK, accept that it is a struggle. Soon it won’t be, and you will be living externally in full alignment with the internal. That is called living a life of dreams…

It is never too late to start looking inside. I look forward to your comments and emails…

In mid-January, I had an incredible business idea. I was so inspired that I just began writing.

Within hours I had a pseudo business plan and surmised the next steps would be to hire a web design firm and flush out proper language for the necessary website.

Then I snapped back to reality. Doubts and questions flooded my mind: What about all the things I was currently working on? How could I possible juggle something new (and so seemingly time consuming)? What about all of the present goals I set for myself, should I just put them aside?

And what about my life outside of career; would I leave any time for family and friends?

Choosing Between Achieving Goals And The Creative Flow…

In my article How To Set Fantastic, Achievable Goals for 2008 I explained how my system of creating long-term objectives and then working backwards to establish a neat and tidy productivity system can be very effective.

As I contemplated how I would explain myself to loyal We The Changers—that I did not hit ANY of my tangible goals for January—I realized that my stringent system from the previous article does not tell the entire story.

Expect The Unexpected

As you set out to achieve pre-written goals, make sure to reserve space for the “creative you” to craft genuine ideas. This is the main point I missed in my first article, as no productivity system would be worthwhile without the manifestation of fresh concepts.

And when these ”gems” surface, allow yourself to partake in the process as it transpires; do not put it off or be fearful of the other things you should be doing. It always works itself out when you follow your heart.

In my scenario, there were at least 2 semi-big projects that I realized did not need immediate attention. (It’s an amazing experience when you first begin to understand the axiom: almost nothing in life requires immediate attention).

Quickly, I re-arranged my internal and external calendars and made space for the new concept to take form. My moments of stress and questions had subsided, I understood that I could easily work on this project, make it great, and not lose my life!

Remember—truly magical and transcending ideas are never planned. You have to make way for them!

Long-Term Objectives ALWAYS Trump Short Term Goals

It is easy to forget that the primary reason for setting goals and implementing productivity systems is to help you live a wonderful, fulfilling and meaningful life.

When this new project surfaced in my mind, I quickly grasped its potential significance. Successfully completing it could get me one step closer to my loftier dreams!

Could I really put off the new inspiration for the sake of sticking to a pre-defined schedule of monthly, weekly and daily goals? No way. When something happens that strikes a chord within, you have to go for it.

Always have your long-term goals in mind, they keep you on track to the things that are really important. And become very aware if you consistently allow short-term objectives to trump your life’s ambitions!

Set Your Goals And Then FORGET About Them!

After I set goals I rarely spend any time reviewing them. I never ask myself “did I accomplish x, y and z”. Why? Because I find this activity to be a pointless waste of time!

What would really be the point for me to review my January goals? I have just stated that unknowing events brought me new ideas that limited my ability to complete them. I know that, and there is no point in “reviewing” them.

What IS needed is a continual system of re-assessment. Be proactive, and always look forward. On February 1, I started creating my goals for the month ahead and there was a whole new category there (one that was previously unknown). How exciting! That’s how you grow. Don’t review; create!

Should You Set Goals: Yes!

Many readers will ask: “what is the point of setting goals if the ‘unknown’ trumps it all anyway”. Great question! To me, the reason you should set goals is simple: to create a clear vision of your ideal life.

And I HIGHLY recommend making your goals lofty…even larger then you think you should. Making them big makes your life electric, and gives you something exciting to strive towards.

Be wary of the relentless pursuit of achieving your goals. This mindset can be detrimental and may blind you to bigger and better opportunities that present themselves.

Setting goals should be a flexible, fun, and organic as opposed to dutiful and monotone. Let the universe work for you…allow the unknown to present itself to you and cultivate awareness to take action when it does!

I hope this article helps. The points I am bringing up are relevant to me at the moment, and I look forward to your comments and input!

Here are 31 of the most powerful motivation hacks you can use to increase productivity and attain greater fulfillment in life. I have picked some of the most useful tips from quality blogs and classic texts (so some may sound familiar) and added a few We The Change nuggets. Enjoy!

31. Make it FUN

You will never be motivated to do something that makes you feel sad, scared, depressed or bored. So find a way to make the project exciting. If you can not, consider a way to achieve the top-line objective in a different manner, one that does not entail such drudgery!

30. Make a habit of visualization

One of the most powerful motivation tools which most people simply do not employ. Set aside 5 minutes each day and practice seeing yourself achieve your loftiest goals. This will be hard at first, but will eventually the mind will de-clutter and lead you down a much clearer path.

29. Get a buddy with similar goals

Can you do it alone? Absolutely! But, goals are easier to accomplish when you work in tandem with a partner who has synergistic objectives. And they are out there; all you have to do is look and ask!

28. Cultivate patience

No matter how motivated you are, things do not always happen immediately or when you want them. Therefore it is absolutely imperative to develop great patience, and allow your goals to manifest naturally.

27. Get a life coach or business mentor

Life coaching and business counseling is taking off, and for good reason! These individuals are trained to listen and help you take productive action. From my experience, attaining a good life coach is motivation in its purest form. (AND, if you are looking for a good one you can click here)!

26. Create smaller, manageable tasks

It is so easy to get lost in a sea of inactivity when we are constantly thinking about the big, massive goals we set for ourselves. It is certainly OK to create long-term goals, but make sure you constantly bring your attention to the smaller, actionable tasks that move you forward.

25. Get into nature, frequently

Spend 10 minutes looking up at the stars on a very clear night. OR, take a ½ hour and lie by the beach listening to the waves roll in. OR, go for a walk in the woods. When doing this, be there fully and soak in the natural beauty that is all around you. Is there anything more motivating than this?

24. Take a class

People lose motivation because they are bored. Taking a class in something that interests you is a wonderful way to “un-bore” yourself.

23. Be conscious of your urges to STOP, expect them

No matter how motivated you are, there will be moments when you will lose it. That’s OK—in fact, the most productive people expect these down cycles and learn from them. When this happens to you, be patient and figure out what activity can snap you out of it.

22. Ask for the honest advice of people you respect!

Another nugget of wisdom that most people forget about—TAKE ADVICE, especially from people that you respect. You will come away with a different perspective of your mission, and feel freshly motivated!

21. When you take time off, do not even think about it

You need to take breaks in order to manifest fresh ideas. When resting, REALLY rest and train your brain not to think about your larger ambitions. This will also be hard to do at first, but can benefit you greatly in the long-term.

20. Make a big public commitment. Be fully committed

I got this one from my friend Leo at Zen Habits, and I love it! He says “this will do the trick every time. Create a blog and announce to the world that you are going to achieve a certain goal by a certain date. Commit yourself to the hilt”. Thanks Leo, you have certainly motivated me

19. Repeat positive affirmations

Create 2 or 3 sentences that state your objectives and repeat them out loud sometime during the day (preferably in the morning). Introducing your intentions to the subconscious mind is a powerful motivation tool. Click here for more on affirmations.

18. Limit your intake of “world” and “local” news

Why? Because for the most part it is totally DE-motivating. AND, you may be surprised to hear this, but you do not need to know everything that’s going on in the world, all the time. Take a break from it.

17. Stretch first thing in the morning

Stretching for 5 minutes upon waking can shift your outlook in an often surprising way (brings your attention inward), so get the blood flowing in the a.m.!

16. Surround yourself with positive quotes

Tape some positive quotations on your computer monitor, put them in your pocket, slap them on your steering wheel etc…This is a simple method for keeping the positive and motivating vibes going.

15. Put yourself in a situation to get “small wins”

Attaining a consistent sense of accomplishment is crucial to staying motivated. Checking things off a to-do list (and knowing you don’t have to go back to it) should make you feel good, and motivate you to be more productive.

14. Reward yourself

When achieving these small wins…reward yourself with something meaningful. It is not really a “win” until you feel good about it, right? This is something most people simply do not do, and they go from one task to the next in a perfunctory fashion with little enjoyment. Treat yourself, you’re worth it!

13. Have a clear, clutter-free work environment

Clutter in your physical space translates to clutter in the mind. Have a clean, fresh space to work in and your thoughts and actions will follow-suit.

12. Do the most important task, or tasks, right away!

Right after a good stretch, take care of two of the most vital tasks you have for the day. This will give you a nice sense of accomplishment and motivate you for the remaining work hours.

11. Pick The Brain of someone who has achieved a similar goal

No matter how outlandish your goals are, chances are someone has achieved something similar. Better yet—chances are this person was less qualified, less intelligent, and in all had less “going” for him/her. Find out how they did it…

10. Keep a journal of your progress

You don’t need to do this every day (you can if you want, but sometimes this gets too time consuming…and it’s not good to journal just because you feel pressured to do so). Alternatively, write whenever you feel like it, and feel proud of your progress.

9. Get stuck in it!

This is another way to say, “just do it”. You’ll often find that whatever you’ve been putting off isn’t as bad as you thought, and doesn’t take that long.

8. Write Your own Eulogy

A very powerful (and not much talked about) exercise for motivation. Although morbidly sounding, this practice can be a transcending experience. For more info, read What Is Your Legacy (and you can see what I want said about me when its all over)!

7. Set AWESOME goals for yourself

I say “awesome” because writing out goals should be a fun and inspiring experience! If goal writing stresses you out, then you should not be doing it (or change your mindset, as it should excite you to envision the life you want to lead). You can see my goals for 2008 here!

6. Try using different types of music to fire you up

Music has the unique ability to generate feelings within us that mere words sometimes can not do. Find music that is right for your mood, and use it smartly! Here are 5 Great Albums to listen to in the morning.

5. Believe that you can do whatever you are planning to do

You don’t have to know HOW you are going to achieve your goals, but you do need to have an unyielding inner belief that you will accomplish them. Just KNOW that you are going to do it, and you will find yourself constantly stimulated.

4. Set a short-term EXERCISE goal, and achieve it!

Tell yourself you will successfully jog 2 miles within the next two weeks without a rest. OR, do ten straight push-ups. OR, complete a full Bikram Yoga class. The point is to set a realistic goal for your body, achieve it, and set the stage for the mind!

3. Be OK not knowing everything

How is this motivating? Because once you realize that you will NOT always know exactly what to do each and every moment, you can relax and allow the best solution surface naturally (which it has a tendency to do in a relaxed state).

2. Watch thoughts like “I can’t do that” or “I can never pull that off”

I say watch them because there really is no getting rid of them, as they exist for every human. But you can become an observer to your negativity, and start realizing that it is a mind-created tool that only limits you. Once you get a different perspective, you can by-pass the negative thoughts and allow pure action to transpire.

1. Every day, commit to doing at least two things proactively

It is critical to be “moving forward” every day. No matter what happens, make sure you are doing at least two daily actions that put you closer to your ultimate goals. Most of us spend 99.9% of our time in reactionary mode, and this is ultra-un-motivating.

There you have it, a pretty complete list. As always, would love to hear your thoughts and comments. Thanks…

Ever since I started We The Change 3 short months ago, I have written several articles on productivity. Some of these articles are among my most popular, and I am constantly approached by readers and friends with follow-up questions concerning how to become more efficient in daily life.

This topic is very close to my heart because I am an entrepreneur, and if I did not create and implement effective productivity habits I would get lost in a sea of inactivity. Not that you need to be your own boss to integrate wonderful efficiency tools; on the contrary I believe anyone and everyone can benefit from these types of systems.

The way I am going to approach this article—which concerns annual, monthly and daily goal setting—is by treating you to my own personal organizational system concerning the 2008 objectives for We The Change.

The only thing I will omit is the actual numbers (concerning things like income, subscribers and traffic). The only reason I am not including them is that some people (and I mean my girlfriend Irina here) think that my lofty goals make me seem arrogant.

LOL, well, the truth is that the numbers do not really matter for the purpose of this article. The main thing I hope you get from my sharing of personal goals is the organizational system I use. I have found it to be most effective, and I use it for every business, project and venture I am involved. SO, here you go:

We The Change 2008 Annual Goals

Top Line Objectives

• Highly profitable
• Recognizable brand name
• Platform for interviews of top thought leaders across mind-body-spirit continuum
• Platform for spread of products and services relating to: the environment, self-improvement and consciousness

Specifics

• Earn xxxx from We The Change brand
• Attain xxxx status in terms of Technorati blog rankings
• Attain xxxx status for Alexa website rankings
• Serving a community of xxxx subscribers
• Serving xxxx annual page views
• Conducting weekly interviews with TOP authors, speakers and thought leaders
• Attracting synergistic relationships with relevant advertisers, sponsors and affiliates

OK, a couple of notes here. First, I ALWAYS begin with the annual goals and then work my way backwards. If I were doing a 5-year plan, I would likewise begin with the visualization of where I want to be in 5 years, and then slowly work my way in reverse.

Second, notice that I term it “We The Change brand” instead of merely a blog. This gives me the sensation that I am creating something bigger…something significant: a brand name.

My next task is to create a monthly goal for January. I do this with the mindset of “what can I do in month #1 to move myself in the direction of achieving the 2008 Annual Goals”:

We The Change January ’08 Goals

Top Line

• Subscribers: xxxx
• Income: xxxx
• Technorati ranking: xxxx
• Alexa Ranking: xxxx

To Do

• Complete site re-formatting
• Initial advertisers and affiliates established
• More and consistent social networking
• Write 3-4 high quality articles each week
• Secure 8 fantastic and relevant interviews
• Create WTC letterhead and business cards
• Establish podcasts

After I feel good about my monthly goals, I generate a weekly goal with the mindset “what are the most important things for me to accomplish this week in order to make sure I achieve my overall objectives”:

WTC Goals to Complete by Sunday, January 6

• Site re-formatting complete
• Initial advertisers and affiliates contacted and established
• One hour of social networking completed every day
• Established weekly publishing schedule; written at least two articles for next week

On Sunday night I will review these weekly goals, pat myself on the back for a job well done, and create goals for week 2 which I will complete by the following Sunday (and which will get me closer to accomplishing my January objectives).

I hope you are getting the sense that with this system, I am always moving myself forward—and I am intentionally creating proactive routines, instead of being reactionary.

The last organizational step is this: every night I create a daily task list for the following day. Again, I do this with the mindset: “what can I do tomorrow to get myself closer to achieving my weekly goals”. Here is what it looks like:

Daily Task List, Wednesday January 2

• Create Great article for Thursday (which you are reading, incidentally)
• Create solid publishing schedule for next two weeks
• Deal with advertisers/sponsor issue: Secure 4 of them!
• Social network: at least one hour
• Review Guy Finley website (an interview I am posting next week)

When the morning comes, I have a detailed list of all the things I want to accomplish for the day. The most important thing about the system is this: I go through each day as mechanically and robotically as possible and simply complete the daily tasks I have created for myself.

This productivity system has a common-sense flow and takes all the mind work and clutter out of daily living. I rarely question myself during the day because I know that what I am working on is part of a greater plan: a well thought out network of annual, monthly and weekly goals that plays out on a daily basis.

I do not fret that I am being unproductive because I know that I am being proactive, as long as I follow the daily plan.

This may sound like it takes an exorbitant amount of time, but it really does not. Yes, I recently spent about a half day working on all my annual goals (I do this process for many areas in my life), but at the same time I created my January and “week 1″ objectives.

Once this yearly task is done, I feel confident and set– and I know all I have to do is follow the path I have laid for myself. I am taking all the guess-work out of whether I am productive or not!

I have found this system of goal setting to be very, very effective. There are more details that I left out, such as “what happens when things come up during the day, and you can not complete the daily tasks” and “how do you organize yourself during each day” and “what tools and products do should you use for organization”.

These are important questions, and are certainly built into my plan….but they are fodder for another article. This one is done

Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here’s to a great, and productive 2008 for all of us!!

As human beings, we all will experience times of diminished inspiration. These moments are usually characterized by low energy levels, decreased motivation, lessened creativity and can cause a downward spiral in our general happiness if we are not careful.

The most successful people we know (and I am defining success as the ability to get things accomplished at a high level no matter what life throws at you) share two common attributes when it comes to getting out of a rut:

• They accept “downtimes” as part of the normal cycle of being alive

• They actively search for, and partake in, activities to catapult themselves out of inactivity and boredom

Stressing about lack of inspiration only paralyzes the mind, and inhibits the creative juices from flowing. Learning how to cultivate a relaxed mind during these moments can be the key to re-igniting the fire of your imagination. Here are 8 of the most effective activities you can integrate into your life when inspiration eludes you:

1. Scatter Your Reading Material

How many of you get caught up reading the same genre of literature over and over again? A wonderful way to stimulate new ideas is to read lots of different types of material. While doing this, look for patterns and see how you can combine ideas to improve upon existing solutions. Remember, ideas come from other ideas and by reading about a lot of different types of things you can increase your exposure to new concepts.

2. Meditate

Meditation is the practice of being still and cultivating awareness of the present moment. During times of complete stillness, inspiration often finds a way to strike. The practice of meditation also helps you cope with tension in the body and anxiety in the mind, two conditions which rarely (if ever) lead to moments of clarity. So when you are lacking in inspiration, try meditating and quiet the never-ending chatterbox in your head—you might be surprised to find that the motivation you desire was there all along.

3. Call a Good Friend

There is nothing more inspiring than hearing news of an old friend that you have not talked to in some time. The “catching up” conversation is usually lengthy and gets the mind working in a different manner. A few nuggets of inspiration will almost surely result from a few hours of healthy conversation with an old friend, so give it a try.

4. Write with Your Hand

Although typing into the computer is great for posterity, writing by hand stimulates ideas. The simple act of using a pen or pencil massages acupuncture points in the hand, which in turn inspires new ideas. Hand writing in your journal, for example, can do wonders for your creative flow.

5. Go to Bed Earlier

Many eastern medicine practitioners believe that certain times of day coincide with certain brainwave states. For example, did you know that the mind is in its most creative mode from around 11pm until 2am at night? In order to benefit from this replenishing creativity we should make a habit of being asleep by 10:30pm. But how many of us are consistently fast asleep by this time? Try going to bed earlier for one month, and see if you notice the brain forming more innovative thoughts.

6. Start Integrating a New Kind of Workout Routine

Inspiration often gets blocked from sprouting because our physical bodies fall in a rut. To “unrut” yourself, it is a great idea to challenge your body with some new physical activity. Often times, this can be the very thing that brings you back to being your creative self. Try Yoga, Pilates, or lifting weights if you do not already.

7. Practice Visualization

Visualization is a fantastic practice to regain your inspiration. For 15 minutes every day, close your eyes and concentrate on imagining your most creative mind at work. Really feel the feelings associated with your innovative self creating wonderful ideas. This is hard work at first, but can be a very powerful exercise for getting yourself back on track.

8. Get Off Your Lazy Butt!

Most people sit around, waiting to be inspired. The truth is, there is a whole world out there filled with innumerable things that can motivate you to be great. For me, going on a long hike, or even taking a long walk in the deep woods refreshes my soul. I try and do this whenever I am feeling uninspired. What is it for you? Decide, and then go do it!

When you feel drained of creativity, integrate these 8 steps– You are bound to get the juices flowing again!

You have heard me mention “brainwave technology” in previous articles as a wonderful tool for increasing productivity. Upon further research, and increased usage, I have learned that there are a variety of additional applications for BT products such as: improved sleeping, emotional healing, meditation, and even healing certain physical disorders.

Today we are going to explore BT in greater detail, and have with us Kristen Cramer, President of the Immrama Institute in Tampa, Florida who will shed some light on how brainwave technology can improve our lives.

Immrama is a true pioneer in the field of brainwave technology, and I want to thank Kristen for taking the time to interview on We The Change:

TG: What exactly IS Brainwave Technology?

KC: Well, there are many different types. In a general sense, brainwave technology is comprised of any type of audio or visual tool that stimulates brain activity in one form or the other. What we develop at Immrama are the audio forms of BT, and we create and distribute CDs that help people get into desired brain states.

TG: What do you mean by “desired brain states”?

KC: There are several different brainwave states. Your brain continually cycles through each of them throughout the day and night. It is a completely natural biological occurrence in every human being, and each of these brainwave states occurs in a specific frequency range:

Gamma: bursts of insight and high-level information processing (40Hz and up)
Beta: Focused concentration, heightened alertness (13Hz to 40 Hz)
Alpha: Relaxed mental awareness, visualization, creativity (8Hz to 12Hz)
Theta: Stress Relief, deep relaxation, meditation, dreaming (4Hz to 8Hz)
Delta: Deep, dreamless sleep, healing and rejuvenation (0Hz to 4Hz)

With the help of audio brainwave technology, you can guide your brain into Beta, Delta, or any other desired brainwave state based on the activity you are engaging.

TG: How Does It Work?

KC: Our CDs are scientifically designed to release one set of frequencies into the right ear, and another set of frequencies into the left ear. When this happens, the brain’s response is to generate its own frequency (and the one you desire) to reconcile the difference between the two frequencies being heard through the ears. This “balancing” frequency of the brain is called a binaural beat, and is what we are after in BT.

For example, if a frequency of 100Hz is presented to the left ear and a frequency of 105Hz is presented to the right ear, the brain “hears” a binaural beat pulsing at 5Hz, the exact difference between the two frequencies. Over time, binaural beats can lead to something wonderful called hemisphere synchronization.

TG: What is Hemisphere Synchronization?

KC: Whole brain synchronization occurs when the two hemispheres of your brain begin to work together, resonating at the same frequencies and causing neural pathways to fire more rapidly. Your brain can reach extraordinary levels of performance not normally attainable without years of practice. Research has shown that this type of synchronization is present in the brain at times of intense creativity, clarity and inspiration. By listening to our CDs you can train your brain to function at this high level of synchronization.

TG: Is there any way to actually see Hemisphere Synchronization?

KC: Absolutely! You can track it on an EEG machine, and it is amazing to see how the brain becomes more cohesive. After about 7-10 minutes of using these products the left and right hemispheres of the brain start working together. Remember, there is 30+ years of science backing this up. You can view a few actual EEG snapshots on our webpage.

TG: Give a reason why someone would want to start purposefully altering their brainwaves?

KC: Good question. For starters, people who have trouble sleeping can benefit tremendously from these products as the CDs can help guide the brain into the Delta brainwave state. Over time, the technology can train the brain to remember how to emit this critical frequency. This is actually how I got involved in this field. BT products were the only thing that helped my chronic insomnia (I tried medications, hypnosis, different relaxation techniques) and I saw first-hand how powerful it can be. This is just one of a myriad of reasons to use these products.

TG: You mentioned before that these products help “train the brain”. Explain.

KC: When you use these CDs every day for a few weeks (for about 15-20 minutes), we have noticed that the brain starts to remember how to get into desired states more easily. So, if we give someone who has trouble falling asleep a CD that takes there brain from the very busy Beta state, down through the more relaxed Alpha state and all the way into Delta, and they listen to it for a few weeks, their brain actually becomes entrained to get into Delta by itself. What this means is that you do not have to be tied to a CD for the rest of your life to go to sleep, and is one of the great benefits of this technology.

TG: How do Immrama’s products differ from the competition?

KC: Thank you for asking that. We have become pioneers in the field and developed something called harmonically layered technology. Traditional BT has one frequency in one ear, and one in another. What we did was combine the BT concept with music science and harmonics and take multiple layers of frequencies and run them together so that they are all harmonically matched. What this does (and we’ve proven this through EEG testing and other comparisons) is strengthen the hemisphere synchronization and increase the entrainment level. This advance is actually a huge jump in BT, as the science had remained stagnant for a very long time. So, we are very proud of this accomplishment.

TG: Why do more people NOT know about BT, and about your Institute?

KC: It took a very long time for the traditional medical establishment to accept it as a viable form of treatment. Plus, for the first 20+ years there was not a lot of money devoted to this research. But awareness of brainwave technology is growing at an exponential rate, and I am happy to sat that a LOT of people know about our Institute now! With the confluence of increasing scientific evidence, the internet, and physician recommendations, brainwave technology is exploding.

TG: Where can we see some of these scientific studies?

KC: We do have a page on our website which lists the scientific studies. It also lists a lot of books where they mention the technology. But we are not allowed, for copyright reasons, to actually publish the studies on our website.

Well We The Changers, I hope you got a lot out of this interview and decide to give BT a try. I have been using it for about a year, and have seen tremendous results. As always, share your thoughts or your story in the comment section below!
